A voice for the non-religious in Swindon

“Human decency is not derived from religion. It precedes it.” ― Christopher Hitchens

The S-Word: A Plan…

Hey all!

Well we have had a fair bit of discussion on the topic of our name and BHA partnership.

The plan as it exists now is to keep our current name on all web pages and social media the same until a few weeks after the A. C. Grayling event at the Swindon Literature festival. This is to avoid confusion for anyone who may find out about us through the Grayling event and might want to find out more!

In the meantime we are going to change our paperwork, set up a society bank account and seek BHA partnership as the Swindon Humanists. Once we change our name publicly we will do all we can to make sure we present ourselves as welcoming every type of non-religious people.

If anyone has more input, or doesn’t like this plan then please let your feelings be known!

Be well all!
